Welcome to Infinity is Really Big!

I’m Bill Kinney, and I’m a Professor of Mathematics at Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota, USA.

My main goal is to help you learn a wide array of university-level mathematics so you can grow personally and professionally. I do this through a wide variety of blog posts, often linked to my YouTube channel “Bill Kinney Math“.

I think the biggest key to understanding mathematics is to link symbolic and visual representations, so I often add dynamic visual content to my posts. The Wolfram Research computer-algebra system Mathematica is the main tool I use for this, though I will be exploring other tools along the way.

For me, the main driver of my life and work is my Christian faith and love for God and His glory as revealed through Jesus Christ in the bible. I periodically share thoughts about how this interaction works out for me, in the hope being of interest and bringing faith and encouragement to some of my readers. I certainly need His sustaining grace and power in my own life every day.

“Whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” (Philippians 4:8, ESV)
